Parish Councillor for Beaumont Ward (Redbourn)
About Victoria
Victoria Mead is a Conservative Parish Councillor for Redbourn. She is currently standing as a District candidate for St Albans and District Council.
Victoria is a highly experienced Councillor who has served as a District Councillor in the past (from 2014-2022). She has lived in Redbourn for over 50 years and is committed to conserving what is best about the village and village life. Victoria is an active committee member on various Redbourn organisations/charities including Redbourn in Bloom, Wild About Redbourn, Redbourn Xmas Market and the Redbourn Festival. She is also a Trustee of Redbourn Village Museum.
She is particularly concerned about the impact of the huge housing developments proposed around Redbourn, which could mean the building of 11,000 homes. This would radically change the rural nature of Redbourn to the detriment of the countryside. It would also mean severe pressure on local infrastructure, particularly roads and could adversely impact access to local services like education and health.
Victoria will fight on behalf of Redbourn residents to protect the Green Belt, local countryside and the introduction of appropriate infrastructure to meet their needs.
