Milan is a local businessman who grew a multi-million-pound business and currently works as a consultant advising small companies on how to grow. He has lived in Harpenden for 33 years and lives here with his wife.
Milan believes in keeping council tax down, running council services efficiently and listening to residents and delivering what they have asked for. He will take a strong resident -focussed, financially literate and managerial view of Council issues. He is keen to support small businesses in the High St and wishes to preserve what makes Harpenden special.
He is a first generation Brit, whose parents escaped from Communist Yugoslavia after the 2nd world war, met, married and raised their family in England. Having family experience of an autocratic Communist state, he believes in democracy, free speech and the accountability of politicians to the people who elected them.
