Graeme Elliot, Conservative Candidate for Bridgewater in the forthcoming County Council elections has been attacked three times by the famous Flamstead Harrier Hawk whilst out canvassing in Flamstead in the last few days. The South American bird of prey (photoshopped with Graeme in the picture) has been terrorising residents and evading capture since November. So far Graeme has been hit twice, with one miss. On both occasions, he recalls feeling a 'massive thud' to the back of his head and the bird drew blood with his talons. Graeme said "I played rugby for 30 years and I don't think I ever got a bang on the head like that". It is thought the bird is targeting tall men. It has not deterred Graeme though, he's determined to talk to as many residents as possible before the election on May 1st. Although as he says "Its a little hawkward keeping one eye out for aerial bombardment."
