Harpenden Responds to the COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought together all levels of government and the local community to support local people. The County Council has been responsible for co-ordinating the local response to COVID-19. They have helped manage contact tracing and supported NHS partners to deliver testing.

Update on ASB at Parva Close

The South Ward team responded to reports of ASB in local play areas by undertaking a survey and acting on the response by firstly requesting that district temporarily remove a park bench which was a focal point for ASB and engaging with the police over monitoring the green spaces.

Harpenden Leisure Centre Update

The new Harpenden Leisure Centre is due to be completed by January 2021. There have been delays on the Cultural Centre, but it too is due to open early next year.  There have been significant recent cost overruns on this build.
